hazey nights
I haven’t wanted to jinx myself by saying anything out loud, but after 8 months with me, i THINK that hazel has turned the corner on sleep.
things got a little better after the two treatments for worms in november. she had only a couple of night wakings each night instead of 6 or more. (unfortunately my kids seem to be on opposite schedules so when hazel sleeps well, ruby wakes up and needs me. a full nights sleep is still a thing of fantasy.)
but this week things got a lot better: hazel has slept from 8 pm to 7 am twice without waking. each morning i was shocked, pleased and wondered at first if i had imagined that she actually slept all night. (of course i didn’t sleep all night. but when i awoke it was in my own light sleep cycle and not to the “waaaa, mama , mama, mama” of ruby or hazel.)
now if i can only train myself to sleep all night, then we’ll really be rejoicing at our house!
